Highland Park 25 Years Old
Single Malt - Scotland - 48.10% 9 Have this one with dessert.
Highland Park Hjarta
Single Malt - Scotland - 58.10% 8 It is almost like they have put the usual 12 Years Old on steroids. Great stuff.
Hokuto 12 Years Old
Single Malt - Japan - 40.00% 8 A wee cracker. Nothing sophisticated. Clean, straight and well combined. Quite cheering.
Ichiro's Malt 1988 Single Malt Vintage
Single Malt - Japan - 56.00% 8 A pungent character. Warm phenolic and uncompromising but hiding a pleasant cereal sweetness. The alcoholic strength is somewhat burning though. Water helps but does not cut all the sharp edges.
Ichiro's Malt Ace of Diamonds 1986 22 Years Old
Single Malt - Japan - 56.40% 8 Intense and packs a considerable punch.
Ichiro's Malt Ace of Hearts, 22 Years Old
Single Malt - Japan - 56.00% 8 Water cuts the edges a little but does not mellow the sourness.
Ichiro's Malt Two of Clubs
Single Malt - Japan - 57.00% 8 The nose is more appealing than the palate. Water tames it.
Inverleven 17 Years Old
- Scotland - 40.00% 8 My summer drink already and it's barely spring.
Inverleven Deoch an Dora 1973
Single Malt - Scotland - 48.50% 8 A charming thirst-quencher. No water please. It is perfect straight.
Islay Mist 17 Years Old
Blended - Scotland - 40.00% 8 Cutting this to 40% means it's lost some of its energy. Let's have a cask strength version!
Islay Mist Blended Scotch Whisky
Blended - Scotland - 40.00% 8 A distinctively Laphroaig-led blend, even though that distillery and this blend are now owned by separate companies.
James MacArthur 14 Years Old Islay Blended Malt
Blended - Scotland - 58.30% 8 Alcohol is so well tamed. A fully Islay vatted malt. Vatted, really? More a single than a vatted. Or an Ardbeg vatted with a Laphroaig?
Jameson 12 Years Old
Blended - Ireland - 43.00% 8 The aroma that I associate with a traditional Irish. A superb example for everyday drinking.
Blended - Ireland - 40.00% 8 There is some virgin oak in this one, along with bourbon casks. Bonus points for trying something new, but would have expected more interesting results. I find it a bit light tasting. Try it with fres...
Jameson Limited Edition, 15 Years Old
Blended - Ireland - 40.00% 8 Distinctive. A very full pot-still Irish.
Jameson Rarest Vintage Reserve

Blended - Scotland - 40.00% 8 Stylish and cool. Supper club whisky.
Jura 35 Years Old, 1976 Feith A'Chaorainn
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00% 8 Distillery character has not been overwhelmed by long maturation.
Karuizawa 1971 Cask No 6878
- Japan - 64.10% 8 Should only be consumed in small amounts by consenting adults. Highest recommendation
Single Malt - Japan - 59.30% 8 Sherry masks the distillery character. Fine if you are a big fan. That sickening sweetness with water added is questionable.
Kilchoman Inaugural Release
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00% 8 An enticing dram. With this soft and tender malty heart. Reminds me of an Ardbeg. The dram which takes you to the shore on a mild winter day.
Kilchoman, Abbey Whisky Exclusive 2009 PX Finish Single Cask Reserve
Single Malt - Scotland - 58.30% 8 A huge big bruiser - quite a showstopper!
Kingsbury Islay 1973, 27 Years Old
Single Malt - Scotland - 47.40% 8 Has this cask slept so long that it cannot completely wake up?
Kirin 18 Years Old, Fuji-Sanroku
Single Malt - Japan - 43.00% 8 For those who like cider rather sour than sweet! interesting combination for a whisky cooler. A refreshing aperitif.
Knockando 25 Years Old
Single Malt - Scotland - 43.00% 8 Manages to retain its delicacy despite the big sherry notes.
