Tomatin 36 Years Old Batch 1
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00% 9 A magical mix of Bourbon and sherry matured spirit.
Tomatin Warehouse 6 Collection 1971
Single Malt - Scotland - 45.80% 8 Dark chocolate and whisky, my favourite combination and if I can have it in a glass, then even better!
Tomintoul 1976 Vintage
- Scotland - 40.00% 8 A big initial impact then a slow gentle falling away.Worth a look.
Tomintoul Speyside Glenlivet Five Decades
Single Malt - Scotland - 50.00% 8 A funky, herbal, sherry monster. Goes rather well with a cigar!
Single Malt - Scotland - 40.00% 8 A pretty entertaining dram. I certainly wasn't expecting that finish!
Tullamore D.E.W. Trilogy
Pot Still - Republic of Ireland - 40.00% 8 Pleasant, soft and subtle. However I think it might have benefited from being bottled at 46% ABV, which would have given the palate a little more intensity.
Tullibardine 1993, Port Wood Finish
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00% 6 Somewhere in the mid palate, there was a momentary hint of malt whisky. I don't know how that found its way into this obscure liqueur from Heaven.
Tullibardine 1993, Sauterne Wood Finish
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00% 8 There's lots of elements at play here. They're just not playing together.
Two Bobs Kentucky Bourbon 1994 Cask No. 66
Bourbon - U.S.A. - 63.70% 8 Not exactly subtle, but has a certain bruising charm.
Tyrconnell Madeira Finish 10 Years Old
Single Malt - Ireland - 46.00% 8 Well put together, the finish not too obtrusive.
Vintage Malt Whisky Co. Classic of Islay Cask Strength Single Islay Malt
Single Malt - Scotland - 60.20% 8 Powerful, pungent malt with everything an Islay enthusiast would wish for.
Bourbon - U.S.A. - 60.95% 8 Remarkably drinkable at full strength, which is just as well as I didn't enjoy it as much once diluted. Impressive: but you must like 'em woody.
W.L. Weller 12 Years Old
Bourbon - U.S.A. - 45.00% 7 Plenty of dimension. The acidity makes it especially appetising and drinkable, and potentially an accompaniment to food. Bring on the barbecue.
W.L. Weller 12 Years Old
Bourbon - U.S.A. - 45.00% 8 Would I take a bath in this? Well, perhaps a shower.
Wemyss Malts 1997, The Bosun's Dram
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00% 8 Very sweet, peaty but drinkable.
Wemyss Malts Single Cask Release Briny Tangle
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00% 9 Heavenly. I'd buy it for the finish alone, which incidentally lasts for minutes.
Wemyss Malts Single Cask Release Lemon Cheesecake
Single Grain - Scotland - 46.00% 8 Tender hearted and loveable. Delicious.
Wemyss Malts Single Cask Release The Admiral's Beacon
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00% 9 Absolutely gorgeous and probably quite expensive!
Wemyss Single Cask Release Rosy Apple Brulé
Single Grain - Scotland - 46.00% 9 This proves that when you get the oak balance right with a grain and a sherry cask, it's a great combination.
Wemyss Vintage Malts Autumn Leaves 12 Years Old 1997
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00% 8 A fresh and balanced dram. Easy going, straightforward, cheerful. A perfect appetiser.
Wemyss Vintage Malts Ginger Compote, 1996 15 Years Old
Blended - Scotland - 43.00% 7 Great balance - true to its distillery character but a slightly softer edge than usual.
Wemyss Vintage Malts Honey Smoke 13 Years Old 1996
Blended Malt - Scotland - 59.60% 8 An enticing islander. A dash of water gives a velvety feel but in the same time, enhances the sootiness, hence a dusty feel on the tongue.
Wemyss Vintage Malts Mocha Spice 21 Years Old, 1990
Blended Malt - Scotland - 46.00% 8 Good palate whisky, but keep the water on the side.
Wemyss Vintage Malts Oysters With Lemon Pearls
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00% 8 Hmmm... I think I'm having a When Sally Met Harry moment!
Wemyss Vintage Malts Smoke on the Water
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00% 8 I love that Bowmore-esque Parma Violet character and I really love that finish.
