Whiskies from 'Speyburn Distillery'

Read the Whisky Magazine tastings notes for whiskies from Speyburn Distillery.
  • Speyburn 10 Years Old

  • Quite a pleasant pre-dinner dram, with light nibbles perhaps. A little shy though. Would yield more at a higher alcoholic strength or in a few years.
  • Speyburn 16 Years Old

  • One of the most assertive, flavoursome examples of Speyburn I have tasted. A pretty whisky from a pretty distillery.
  • Speyburn 1973

  • Another light-tasting malt that blossoms with age. Its flavours belie the use of a malt that is scarcely peated.
  • Speyburn 21 Years Old

  • Very restrained, but lovely gentle peat smoke.
  • Speyburn 21 Years Old

  • Full of flavour and interest, but the sherry and oak verge on being overwhelming.
