Whiskies from 'Speyburn Distillery'
Read the Whisky Magazine tastings notes for whiskies from Speyburn Distillery.
Speyburn 10 Years Old
Quite a pleasant pre-dinner dram, with light nibbles perhaps. A little shy though. Would yield more at a higher alcoholic strength or in a few years.
Speyburn 16 Years Old
One of the most assertive, flavoursome examples of Speyburn I have tasted. A pretty whisky from a pretty distillery.
Speyburn 1973
Another light-tasting malt that blossoms with age. Its flavours belie the use of a malt that is scarcely peated.
Speyburn 21 Years Old
Very restrained, but lovely gentle peat smoke.
Speyburn 21 Years Old
Full of flavour and interest, but the sherry and oak verge on being overwhelming.
