Dewar Rattray Tomintoul 1975 30 Years Old
Single Malt - Scotland - 48.50% 7 Slightly angular. Not a lot seems to have happened.
Mackillop's Choice Tomintoul 1966
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.50% 7 Delicate, and definitely Speyside, but not quite as elegant as some expressions I have tasted.
Tomintoul 10 Years Old
Single Malt - Scotland - 40.00% 7 Quite a muscular Speysider. The perfect dram to buck you up after a woodland walk mushroom-picking on a cold November day.
Tomintoul 12 Years Old Portwood
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00% 7 No real complexity. Maybe longer in cask would have helped. Compare to the Penderyn.
Tomintoul 16 Years Old
Single Malt - Scotland - 40.00% 7 Slightly more grainy and less fruity than I remember.
Tomintoul 1976 33 Years Old
Single Malt - Scotland - 43.00% 7 A good example of integration. A dram in balance.
Tomintoul 1976 Vintage
- Scotland - 40.00% 8 A big initial impact then a slow gentle falling away.Worth a look.
Tomintoul 1995 14 Years Old
Single Malt - Scotland - 46.00% 7 A charmer and well done Tomintoul for taking the non-chill filtered,no colouring route. Have as a summer time aperitif.
Tomintoul 27 Years Old
Single Malt - Scotland - 40.00% 7 Normally thought of as a light malt but this is a rich, viscous expression.
Tomintoul Oloroso Sherry Cask 12 Years Old
- Scotland - 40.00% 7 Very shy almost embarassed. Don't be, Tomintoul.Shout it out!
- Scotland - 40.00% 7 An attractive dram for sure, but just lacks impetus.
Tomintoul Single Peated Malt Scotch Whisky
Single Malt - Scotland - 40.00% 6 Pleasant and easy-going.
Single Malt - Scotland - 40.00% 8 A pretty entertaining dram. I certainly wasn't expecting that finish!
Single Malt - Scotland - 54.90% 7 ?I was expecting more oak on the palate. A definite sherry influence. Fruit and wood are well integrated. Reminds me of calvados!
Tomintoul Vintage Sherry Cask 1977
Single Malt - Scotland - 54.90% 7 ?Fairly lightweight, with a couple of decent Tapas-influenced twists.
Tomintoul Speyside Glenlivet Five Decades
Single Malt - Scotland - 50.00% 8 A funky, herbal, sherry monster. Goes rather well with a cigar!
