• Crown Royal

Like Seagram’s VO Gold, a delicate but wonderfully dextrous blend.

• Crown Royal

A characterful and clean whisky, with a rich proportion of rye in the mashbill. Oak is well integrated. Would be pleasant with a pecan pie.

• Crown Royal Special Reserve

Much more character.

• Crown Royal SR Special Reserve

A mild character, soft and pleasant but lacking nerve. Fine for a sweet tooth.

• Crown Royal XR Extra Rare

That maple syrup taste works more like an additive than a natural aroma gained through maturation.

• Wild Turkey 10 Years Old, Russell’s Reserve

Slightly austere and cerebral. One to sip while watching a video of an art-house movie.

• Wild Turkey 17 Years Old

I like this very much, for its complexity and originality. As a bourbon? The useful phrase ‘something else’ comes to mind.

• Wild Turkey 8 Years Old, 101

Yes it is big and wild, but far more sophisticated than the name suggests.

• Wild Turkey 8 Years Old, 101

A huge whiskey. Put together with style and sophistication, but still with all the robustness of a true bourbon. A classic, of course. A Clint Eastwood of whiskeys.

• Wild Turkey 80

No fancy tricks here but a big, complex, regular bourbon.

• Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit

Wild Turkey in a coat and tie.

• Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit

My descriptors make it sound like a dessert whisky, but it is also very appetising. Just a tad too sophisticated for me.

• Wild Turkey Rare Breed

This is more like a supercharged Wild One. Defiantly robust, but with Devilish charm. I love it.

• Wild Turkey Rye

The wildness of 101, tempered with the extra rye, makes for a very distinctive whiskey.

• Wild Turkey Sherry Signature

Bourbon and sherry? Is this allowed? I'm not sure it should be. I didn't order this, I ordered 101.

• Wild Turkey Single Barrel 101 Proof

Good dram, lacked the greatness you'd hope for with such age.
