Fantastic feature in my view. Educated me in ways I want to be edggicated!

I was intruigued the most about the differing effects of 1st, 2nd and 3rd fill casks, and how to recognise thier effects on the spirit. Best feature I've read yet from Whisky mag.

Case in point - I'm currently wondering if the Balblair 24yr OB (ncf 46%) used a number of 1st fill bourbon casks in the vatting.
