Issue #53

Postby GreyArea » Fri Jan 20, 2006 10:42 am

Arrived yesterday. This is my first ever issue and I must say I'm quite impressed.

Well done.

The Speyside article will be quite useful as I'm staying in that area in October..!

Ardbeg article

Postby Muskrat Portage » Fri Feb 24, 2006 4:57 am

Gordon (oa Spirit of Islay):
After reading "There's something about Mary" I start to understand your fascination with Ardbeg. The distillery sounds as spectacular as it's product. I'll have to try the "Clootie Dumpling" recipe this weekend. Musky P.
P.S.: Matt, any chance of getting the Old Kiln carrot cake recipe?

I agree, Musk. Reading about Ardbeg intensified my already high desire to visit the distillery.

Parvus:
Yes I have to concur. Ardbeg has climbed to the top spot on my "I wish I could go to..." list. 3 more years for daughter to finish a Degree. Maybe we can meet in 2009 for a dram and tour. :D :D :D Musky P.

I'll be waiting for you! And while you're there, don't forget to visit Bruichladdich. And Jura. And Caol Ila. And Kilchoman. And....

Now that is a travel tour that I could enjoy. A week in Islay and the other close islands, a week in Speyside and then a tour of the Highlands and the Orkneys. Love it.

Two Canadians, a displaced Kiwi and an American cousin drinking their way through the "Mither land". :P :P :P Sounds like either a great tour or a heck of a row. Anyone want to tag along as a referee? ... Bernie? ... Greyarea? ... Anyone? M.P.
