 Have you been spying on me

T-shirts is an idea, would you buy one?
Guess it would have to be a bit more interesting than a WM logo... any suggestions ?

I like my whisky like my women, XX years old and laced with coke ....
Let a smooth 30 year old trickle over your tongue....
What did your last 18 year old taste like....

:?

I knew that.

Matt's suggestions remind me of all those tourist t-shirts I saw in Victoria (and many other places) that I stop to read, but would never buy. I guess someone does, but I think I'd prefer something I wouldn't be embarrassed to wear in mixed company. (No offense, Matt...you've got the ball rolling, anyway.)

UM MrTattieHeid it was MY suggestion.

I would buy one, this is more like a club than a discussion board. I mean come on the tit for tat, the get togethers at tasting events etc etc.
What better way to identify a Whisky Enthusiast than with a WM t shirt?
Also a great way to advertise the magazine and this site.

On the top you could have in large letters Whisky Enthusiast and then a whisky glass being filled from a crystal decanter with the amber liquid being poured into it or whatever,

then on the bottom you could have the "whisky Mag"
and on the back you could have the link to this site.

I dunno just suggestions ppl I would love to hear some more ideas.

No. Why should your thread be any different from anyone else's?

I was referring to the specific mottos Matt suggested.

Hmmm, how rude.

How about Whisky Mag T-shirts for our pets to wear? I'd like to buy a whisky mag t-shirt for my dog.

Does anyone on this site like dogs?

If so, please discuss at length...

on this thread

Hmm.. T-shirts would be great I guess - but would I buy one? Yes, if it is done right*, I probably would.

Bjorn of Onlymalts advertised some cafepress t-shirts some time ago, those were pretty cool.

Come to think of it, I meant to buy one, but never got around to it. Think I will do something about that....

* No. I have no idea either...

It's hardly rude for me to want people to stop flooding my threads with garbage and making it go off topic. Get a grip. On my other cigar topic Matt Page had to step in and tell you people to stop going off topic. Jesus. You pick any thread and show me how I have gone off topic on someone else's thread. People go off topic so they can push up the number of threads that write to gain "Gold Member" status. Give me a bloody break.

Thanks Jan for your contribution. I'd buy one too. Would be interesting to see the designs they come out with if at all. :P

I didn't make the thread go off topic it was already off topic. I don't think it was ever on topic to begin with.

Thanks Les,

I'd wear a WM shirt with a collar when playing tennis down at the Country Club.

...however, I don't actually belong to a Country Club

... and I don't really have a dog either

... I do have two cats, but they're indoor cats, so they don't wear a collar - such is life.

Is this an off topic post designed to "push up the number of threads that [you] write to gain "Gold Member" status"? You really don't seem to have a very high opinion of us, and you do come across as rather aggressive quite a lot of the time.

This is all getting a bit silly, can at least one topic remain On Topic for more than 10 minutes? And can everyone stop trying to start an argument, if you have nothing to say on a topic then don't post.

I sound aggressive? That's because I drink scotch. What are you some nellie ellie red wine drinker? I bet you like that white zinfandel don't ya?? lol JK No Mr Brown I thought Mr T's comment was funny. And who is this "US" that I don't have a high opinion of? I can't imagine being so presumptious as to believe I could speak on behalf of all the members of this forum.

Well in respect to the Polo shirt, I think all WM would have to do is come up with a logo and then host something on cafepress or whatever and print up t shirt, polo shirt etc etc by demand. So far there have been 3 or 4 people who have seen this thread who said they would indeed purchase a shirt.

I hope whisky magazine looks into this.

***On a side note I don't want to start a new thread about this but can someone tell me how often the WM comes out? Is it a monthly publication? Thanks.

Yes Dad.

E, we do our best to tolerate your eccentricities, and ask only that you try to do the same for us. As someone noted somewhere, some of us have been drinking. Please make allowances. We're all just trying to have a little fun.

The magazine is published eight times a year--Feb, Apr, Jun, Jul, Aug, Oct, Nov, Dec--a schedule designed to emulate a drunk staggering home from the pub after three too many.

We do have polo shirts and fleece jackets with the WM logo, but they are reserved for staff working at the shows. Can't have everyone wandering around Whisky Live looking like they work there :)

Cafepress is quick and easy solution, will look into it and see if design want to come up with some styles.

Who's ya daddy

Postby Elagabalus » Wed Feb 14, 2007 6:24 pm

YAY!! Then we all have to take a picture of ourselves with our bottle of choice glass in hand wearing our WM t shirts. Then WM can photoshop all of us into one big 2 page shot and put us in the Magazine for another 15 minutes of fame YAY.

hahaha

Oh Mr T get real here, MY eccentricities. You must be kidding. Time for you to get off the forum and back to Coronation Street where you belong. I know you're Kevin Barlow. 8)

When we do appear in the photo of the magazine I think I should have a halo airbrushed over my head due to my obvious divinity but also because I came up with the t shirt idea.
