ISSUE # 62

Postby les taylor » Sun Mar 04, 2007 10:18 am

Issue # 62 was gratefully received as a little thankyou for attending Whisky Live yesterday. It came with a free copy of beers of the world and a Highland Park 12 miniature. Very pleasant and thanks to all at the whisky mag for the issue and for such a great event.

My official copy arrived today with Mr Postie. No freebies with it though.

Just got my copy in the post as well, I guess we'll have two copies long before some people get theirs.

Any interesting articles or features in this issue? I am just going mad waiting to see what is in this issue, even though I just got issue #61 a short time ago.

Matt has been busy with all the Whisky Live events. Don't worry it'll be up before Issue 63 hits the door mats.

Anyone know how long it takes to get the latest issue delivered here in Canada.

I subscribed in late December and was told my first issue would be #62. I'm still waiting for it to arrive. I e-mailed an inquiry to the magazine 3 days ago and haven't heard back yet.

Perhaps I could find the answer by reading the issue more closely, but is that Strathisla pictured on the cover? Beautiful distillery.

I've tried that e-mail address twice now. First link I used was on the contacts page and the second time I used the link from your message.
Both times they have come back as undeliverable. :?
Below is the response that came back.

"Hi. This is the qmail-send program at gilliam.netcom.co.uk.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out."

Heavens Tibetsy Quaichuser!! I got a copy almost 2 weeks ago. However mine was hand posted by Matt Page himself!

Did you buy the standard subscription, the gold league subscription, or the diamond elite subscription?

Perhaps that is the problem. I am in the 2nd tier subscription bracket the Gold League. Would you consider upgrading to the Gold League or Diamond Elite subscription packages?

After a few days and many inquiries I received an e-mail today telling me that my issue is on it's way. Apparently those of us in the Great White North have ours routed throught the US distribution source and it is just now being released. :?

Have any other Canadian subscribers received theirs as yet?

Thanks to those who rendered assistance, MP & E.
And thanks to Pippa and Julia for for the response and info.

Will update this when the issue actually arrives on my doorstep.

Wow! Four days since you asked for assistance. That's amazing! Did Rob or Matt get Schroedingers cat somehow involved and corrupt time? It was a pleasure to offer what little assistance I was able to provide.

IWC I'm expecting issue 63 within the next few days. Perhaps I should have several subscriptions and then send them on to the forum members that want them.

Subscriber Alert enclosure

Postby Muskrat Portage » Fri Apr 13, 2007 2:23 am

With my Issue 62 was a notice that Issue 63 will be delayed for the US and Canada by an extra two weeks.
Subscriber Alert! wrote:To better improve service for our growing number of whisky-loving friends in the US and Canada, we wanted you to know that the following change will take effect from 1st May 2007...
For questions about your subscription, please make a note of our new contact details in North America:
Whisky Magazine
PO Box 492
Mt. Morris, IL 61054
Toll free 1-800-925-8215

To accomodate the change, which entails a physical move as well as a conversion from one computer system to another, there will be an approximatel delay of two weeks in delivery of the next issue (#63, July 2007)
Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding.
So, we can expect our next issue just as the following issue starts to arrive in UK mailboxes. With success comes growing pains. :D

That's true just as someone has to be first to receive a copy someone has to be last. You can always emigrate to England if you want to be first.
