The organisers have successfully held quite a number of these festivals around major cities in Britain. This weekend they will be at The Assembly Rooms on Edinburgh's George Street.
For £10 you can attend all three days and get access to Chef's Theatre and food and drink masterclasses. But heres the interesting bit. Whisky Lounge will be there with Cadenheads & Springbank as well as Glenfiddich and Glenglassaugh. Entry is free once you've bought your £10 ticket for the whole festival. Think of it as a mini-mini Whisky Fringe with some other drinks and food stalls tagged on for the other half. There will also be three whisky masterclasses per day so for an additional fee (starting at £5) you can have a closer look at some fine drams hosted by a knowledgeable and passionate guide.
For more information go to www.foodiesfestival.com
or use the telephonic handset on 0131 226 7766. Kids under 16 go free but obviously they can't get at the good stuff. Concessions also apply.
I'll post more details as they get clarified.
