Inverness Whisky Festival - 8 & 9 April 2011

We are delighted to announce the launch of the very first Inverness Whisky Festival! Held at Bogbain Farm, overlooking the Moray Firth, we will be exhibiting the finest whiskies the Highlands and Islands of Scotland have to offer - plus another couple of surprises too!

With a private collector's auction, ceilidh, fine Highland food prepared by a Masterchef winner, live Scottish Music, masterclasses and BBC Radio Scotland presenter Tom Morton's Malt and Barley Revue, it's a great new whisky event for the British calendar.

It is a small, intimate festival, with only a select few distilleries invited to exhibit. Tickets will go on sale soon and the full programme will be uploaded to the website shortly.

I was hoping to be there, but alas Mrs B has informed me that we are going to Glasgow that weekend, so it's not to be. If anything interesting comes up in the auction that you think I might like, then put a bid in for me, you can square it up with Mrs B when we return. I will of course have to deny all knowledge of any such request.

It's only 280 km. which is just a bit more than the run to Winnipeg from here. You could do that in a couple of hours and the missus would be no wiser. Long as you get back for supper.
