Just a quicky: yet to write up the last Jolly Toper tasting (Arran)- things are getting busy around here. The next tasting is Thursday 7th July if you are thinking of attending but want to keep the drams a mystery don't scroll down.

Otherwise remember the July 13th tasting in the Vintner's Rooms under the Scotch Malt Whisky Society in Leith- 4 Japanese malts and 'Spirit of Unity' £25 a ticket. All but £75 from the total takings will go to aid Japan's recovery. There will be a raffle of quality minis, Port Ellen, Brora and the like. Any whisky companies wanting to donate auction lots please get in touch. Thanks to Royal Mile Whiskies for a 'Spirit of Unity' for the auction, Jon Trueman and friends for their Ardbeg Uigeadail signed by Bill Lumsden and Master of Malt for a bottle of Island Malt - come on the rest of you, these guys are setting a great example.

Then the following night its Lagavulin-fest with a couple (or more) crackers.

Thursday - 7th- July

Bain's South African grain 43%

Glendronach 18yo 46% sherry bomb

Cadenheads Bowmore 11yo

Master of Malt 36yo Inchgower

Shackleton's MacKinlay
