Good to have the dates, but There's not much info on highlights for the POURS tastings.

Plans are afoot to pad out the skeleton of dates with some flesh of drams, as always as the dates draw nearer I'll post the individual tasting's line-up.

There is a bunch of stuff to be sorted into particular dates.

For example sherry cask matured stock includes Glendronach cask strength batch 3, a Dewar-Rattray 6yo 40% Glenburgie with lots of chocolate on the palate and nose and a Cadenheads 24yo Macduff.

Oodles (or should that be oddles?) of mystery drams including plenty foreign whiskies.

Peaty drams are proving thin on the ground but a 29yo Cadenheads Caol Ila is almost certainly in.

As is a Cadenheads 28yo Highland Park and a Glen Elgin 22yo rum cask (the first five people to sample this all bought a bottle).

From Springbank there is a single cask UK exclusive 16yo Madiera cask, the 2014 release of the 21yo and the final installment of the Rundlets and Kilderkins series - the Hazelburn.

Some of the POURS will be tweeked into theme nights - perhaps a Ben Rinnes and/or Glendronach vertical and a tasting of either 35yo whiskies and/or bottles that cost £150+.

I can't help but feel you are underselling some of these. Did I see you mention a

29yo Caol Ila,

28yo Highland Park,

The new 21yo Springbank OB,

And a whole bunch of other amazing stuff!

I don't know where I came in the sampling order, but I bought one of these too, because it is yummy. (Not in bold, because I don't want to advertise it too much.)

Indeed - a splash of Glen Moray. West Port is a gateway to the old town near Elgin Cathedral - I guess that is where the name comes from. Eddie must have (got Martin?) to fill two small fresh sherry casks with a hoggies worth of it. Mostly sold in 20cl bottles.

Aptly named too.
