Scotch Whisky Extravaganza 2005 - Los Angeles, CA.

Is anybody (besides me) attending this event? It's being held at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Los Angeles this November 10th, 2005. Supposedly, there will be a gourmet buffet along with 60 of the world's best single-malts for tasting, and purchase too, I assume.

It's being hosted by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society in conjunction with the Robb Report Magazine.

Well, it's today, and coming up in about 5 hours. I guess I'm the only one on these boards attending then. How sad...

This is the fall tour for the SMWS in the US...they had the same thing last Friday night in Philadelphia, and generally go out twice a year. It's open primarily to SMWS members, but they do allow non-members in as a recruiting venture.

Yeah, my friend and I are not members, we're not sure if we're going to sign up, but we're both huge scotch fans and so tasting 60+ whiskies sounded like my kinda night!

You'll have fun...they usually put on a good event, from what I've heard...
