Hi Kevin ,
Myself and the good woman will be once again at the festival (5th year in a row ) taking up residence in Port Ellen for a change this year .
We've got all the events booked up we want to do this year , we're taking it easy this year only a few (Ardbegs Midnight tour , Bruichladdich day / Jims Masterclass , Whisky Tasting Ceilidh , Johns Bunnahabhain Warehouse tour , Condensers Ball and of course Ardbeg day ! ) .
Hopefully we'll see lots of old Friends incl some of the malt maniacs .

I always 'wish' I could get there for the Festival, but never quite manage to make it. Mainly because one has to book everything so far in advance.
Anyway, I am now declaring my intention to get there for 2007.

Not this year either I'm afraid.

The Mrs and I are going to Islay (and a few other places) for our summer hollidays, but that won't be until June/July.

A well, maybe next year.

I'm trying to see if I can figure out a way to get there for the entire week-10 days next year...it would be fun to put together a new WhiskyCast episode each day at a different distillery. Meanwhile, the upcoming episode out in a couple of days from now will have a complete preview of this year's festivities...just have one or two more interviews to get...

I posted daily reports on my site from the festival but i didn't attend a lot of the events as this was more of a holiday this year and it was also our 5th year in a row attending . Serge also has reports on his whiskyfun.com site .
