Guys,
I've just had a chat with David at The Wine Shop in Leek (http://www.wineandwhisky.com) apparently they are holding one or two interesting events in the near future the first being a Bruichladdich whisky tasting on Wednesday 27th June.

The second event that they are holding will take place on Saturday 28th July at the "Britannia Leek and District Show". They will have a large tasting marquee and the highlight of the day this year is rumoured to be a Bunnahabhain Malt Whisky Tasting with the man himself...John MacLellan!

Alongside the Bunnahabhain you will also be able to taste the current range of "Queen of the Moorlands" whisky bottlings. As well as the Whisky they will also be bringing a range of fine wines and champagnes to taste and take home.

They are also hoping that John will stick around and follow up this event with a Bunnahabhain Master Class on Sunday 29th July.

If you need anymore info give David a call on 01538 382 408 or email david@rarecask.com

Hope to see some of you there.

James

Just a reminder about the Leek show which is weekend after next. It's also worth getting your tickets to the tasting on the Sunday sorted out as I think they are going pretty quicky. Mine are in the post.

Jotter,

Whats the Leek and District Show, is it an agricultural show, county show etc? I should be in Sheffield in two weeks time and if free might give it ago.

Yes it is an agricultural type of show. Plenty of stuff to see there. As I recall it is about £4 entry so well worth the trip.
