Tickets for our much anticipated Whisky Tasting with 'world famous' Bruichladdich Master Distiller Jim McEwan are selling out fast; only fifteen remain!

The event will be held on Thursday 8th November 2007. This is one of only two tastings Jim will be doing in the UK this year!

The evening promises to be a special occasion, with some of the whiskies having never been tasted before! Also included in the ticket price will be a special bottling of Bruichladdich which can be signed by Jim on the night.

We will also be launching our very own single malt that has gone through the Bruichladdich ACE program.

Tickets are available from The Fisherman's Retreat now, either by visiting the restaurant or by calling with your credit/debit card details where tickets will be posted.

Sounds like it would have been a good night.
A friend in Manchester suggested the Fisherman's Retreat to me as a lunch venue a few months back and I was really impressed. They've got a huge selection of malts behind the bar and seem to specialise in Islay malts. From what I remember the bar man telling me, the owners are good friends with Jim McEwan - hence the tasting.

It's also one of the few bars I've seen to have an Ardbeg Mor in stock. Also available Ardbeg 1965, Black Bowmore and some Laddie valinches.

And you can buy bags of fish food to feed the well stocked ponds by the car park. Junior loved it as did I. A great afternoon and well worth a visit.
