I've never been to one, and I believe I might make it to this event.

I might be making the show this year. I have been waiting to see who is showing up or a pour list to be published. Last year some of the major people pulled out, or didn't really show up with product. I am hoping this year will be better....

Anyway, we should get a bay area dramming meet together around that time to share our collections.

I hope everyone shows up this year. Last year, there were several that pulled out just before showtime. Others, just didn't show up with product.

Thanks lohssanami, I was out poking around the site just the other day and didn't see anything.

I hope that this will be a bigger show than last year (echoing ganga here). But the list looks pretty good so far. I will be looking for a pour list at some point.

Got to plan if I am coming, and if so what is on the menu....

I compared the original list I put up with the one currently on the celticmalts site, and there are a few additions.

I emailed Celtic Malts dot com asking if they will provide a pour list, and this is what I received.

"No, we wont have a pour list available. Thanks for the thread"

The list seems good, but if you can't confirm who is pouring, then I may have to re-think this event. Anyone have any experience on the average percentage of pouring participants?

Anyone have any experience on the average percentage of pouring participants?

I am not sure of the question.

Of the list of companies coming, how many of them are pouring beverages? Just about all of them. I have only known one or two companies in the history of the event that were there for information only. It is a tasting event.

How many expressions does each of them bring (how many bottles per table)? Several on average. Most of the current/new expressions. As several examples: Last show Highland Park had 12,15,18,25,30 (and a single cask), and Ardbeg had just the 10 and Oogie (and they ran out, early).

I am leaning more at going to the event at this point. I will make up my mind in a couple of weeks. Being that you are fresh in to Single Malts, you should be able to find at least 40 beverages that you could try that are new to you. And that is a lot for a couple of hours of tasting....

I am not sure of the question.

I probably misunderstood the purpose of a pour list. I was thinking that it would list which exhibitors were pouring, whereas it seems a pour list is really to list the expressions as you have cleared up for me. Thanks for the clarification.
