This looks like a good event - makes an interesting contrast with the £15 ticket for the ill-starred Edinburgh Whisky Festival, doesn't it?

Looking at the list of distilleries that are attending it looks to be a good event.

One interesting bit of news was that they expect Ardbeg to be there with the new 10 year old, Renaissance which was a bit of a surprise as I hadn't expected to see this before Feis Ile 2008 but here's hoping :D

They also mentioned that Martin Green of McTears would be there doing a book signing (don't all rush at once  )

I would imagine at this stage there will be plenty tickets left. Seems like a good excuse to visit my old auntie in Irvine the night before and then just head down to Ayr for the event. I think I will try for this because it looks like I can't get to London for Whisky-Live.

We'll need to find a way of meeting up.

I was about to say 'badges', but I controlled myself...

A few of the Glasgow's Whisky Club folk will be meeting up at Central Station to arrive there en masse. Anyone else want to meet at the station too?

The train appears to take around 50mins to get from Central to Ayr. The trains are every half hour, on the hour and half hour. So if we want to get there for 1pm we can get the 12:00.

So, meet in Central around 11:30?
