Cheers!

How long are you there for?
Are you passing through Dufftown?
Willie JJ wrote:Newbie wrote:How do people get to the morning and afternoon events? Public transport?
Har! Public transport! Very funny

I'll be getting into Elgin Friday afternoon and staying at a B&B there for 3 nights and then to Dufftown for another 4 nights. I'm spending a full week in Speyside so I can catch the distillery tours I've missed from the last times I've been through Speyside mainly Balvenie, Macallan, Glen Moray and Glenfarclas.
Cheers!

There are places on the minibus tour to Glenallachie and Glenfarclas on Monday from Dufftown - Glenallachie would be a nice feather in the cap - it's very difficult to visit - and Glenfarclas knows how to put on a splendid tasting (a good starting point is to distill some very good whisky...)

I've been eye-ballin' that Glenallachie and Glenfarclas minibus tour for a few days and finally booked it today. There looks to be a very nice list of drams to taste from both distilleries, not to mention getting to see Glenallachie (pictures forthcoming!). 3 places left.
Btw, do any of the Speyside distilleries release a festival bottling like the distilleries that do during Islay's Feis Ila?
Cheers!
jmrl wrote:No I don't think we have.
too scared?
too mean?
too right.
Only joking, its just too busy to sort it out. Honest

C_I wrote:In the beginning of May I will be present on several events of the Festival, and take the risk with public transport and some of the Festival Busses. It was a tricky part to select the events and combine it with transport, but I think I will manage. As I will be staying in the Elgin region, I do in general the events there, but will pop over several times to Dufftown.
jmrl wrote:Bruce- I'll be there with bells on (whatever that means) Could do with a hand finding accomadation....
jmrl wrote:Aye, Cadenheads and maybe Springbank too.
Accomodation?????????????????
jmrl wrote:Thanks for help with accomodation. I've secured a room at the Mason Arms (tremble)
