Everyone at Malt Advocate magazine is looking forward to seeing you at WhiskyFest San Francisco on October 10th. We wanted to let you know about the whiskies, special whisky experts, seminars and other whisky-related happenings going on during the week of October 6th.
VIP Registration
Registration will open for VIP ticket holders at 5:00 pm. This will give our staff time to process your registration before the ballroom opens at 5:30. You must be 21 years of age to enter, and event security will be checking photo IDs at the door.
Save time at the event
Please complete your WhiskyFest ticket stub before you arrive at the event as this will save you time once you get to registration. The signed ticket is required for your Glencairn glass. We use this information only to contact you about future WhiskyFest events. We never share your information with any other parties.

Speaker Info
The speaker schedule and seminar topics can now be viewed at
http://www.maltadvocate.com/whiskeyfest-sf-sched.asp. The seminars begin at 7 pm. If you are interested in seeing a particular speaker, we urge you to get your seats early as it's first come, first served.

Sample Size
Due to California liquor regulations, all exhibitors will be adhering to a quarter-ounce pour size.
A Truly Special Offering
In addition to an amazing list of whiskies being poured the night of WhiskyFest, Malt Advocate magazine has teamed up with The Macallan, The Glenlivet, and Glenfarclas to offer attendees a once-in-a-lifetime taste of very rare whiskies for a small charitable donation.
Whiskies at these three designated charity tables are half ounce pours and can be purchased for one charity ticket (cost $20 donation) except the following: all Macallans, 1955 Glenfarclas, 1959 and 1964 Glenlivet which require two charity tickets ($40 donation).
100% of the proceeds from these tables will go to the Food Runners of San Francisco,a volunteer organization dedicated to alleviating hunger in San Francisco. Food Runners deliver over 10 tons of food a week to agencies feeding people in need.

Come visit us at the Malt Advocate table which will be located just inside of the Ballroom doors. The Charity Whisky tickets will be on sale here. We'll also have lots of whisky-related items for sale such as books, glassware and WhiskyFest apparel.
Last pour
Please note that the last pour at WhiskyFest will be at 9:45 pm as the event must end promptly at 10 pm. This will give you plenty of time to finish your last drink and socialize until the event ends.
No briefcases or backpacks
No briefcases or backpacks will be allowed in the ballroom for security reasons. Coat check will hold these items for you if you have to bring either of these items with you to WhiskyFest.
Please don't drive to WhiskyFest
Our number one priority is that everyone attending WhiskyFest gets home safely. There are a number of options available so that driving to the event is completely unnecessary. We urge you to take public transportation or stay the night at the hotel.
