Hi Again,
I thought that rather than monopolise the forum with separate posts that I would fill you in on FOUR events coming up in the Yorkshire area...
Wednesday 17th September, 7.30pm
3 Albion Place, Leeds
The Regions of Scotland £20
A tasting of six of the finest - blind - from the Highlands, Lowlands, Islands, Islay, Speyside and Campbeltown. A good one to cut your teeth on, but for the more experienced there will be some interesting drams on.
Friday 19th September, 7pm
The Biltmore, York
Luxury Whisky-Inspired Dinner £50
A fantastic dinner event celebrating whisky as both an ingredient and accompaniament. Includes all food, wine and whisky served with the meal.
Wednesday 24th September, 7.30pm
Jaz Cafe Bar, Beverley
The Regions of Scotland £20
As the Leeds tasting but in Beverley!
Saturday September 27th, 12-6pm
The Guildhall, York
The 6th York Whisky Festival £15, £5 per masterclass
This event has become well-established as the premier whisky event in the North of England. On a smaller scale than Live or Fringe, this is set in a beautiful old stone hall on the banks of the River Ouse. This year we will be welcoming many of our favourite friends and distributors along to show their wares.
For full details of exhibitors, please go to http://www.thewhiskylounge.com.
That's all for now I think! If anyone is interested in any of these events please contact me at eddie@thewhiskylounge.com or through the website. We are building a really nice network of events and they are generally well-attended and good fun as well as informative and tasty!
I look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
Eddie
