Scotland Again!

I'm in the process of planning my 6th trip to Scotland for September 17th through the 29th for yet another round of whisky trails .. So far my plans include spending the first 4 days in The Orkney's Kirkwall (West End Hotel). I'm taking my netbook this year (AT&T touts that my USBconnect works on that side of the pond, we shall soon see), I'm hoping to be on live from a pub in Kirkwall for the Glen Grant Live tasting set of that weekend. I'm also planning to tour the Highland Park distillery (again) and get some better photos than what I had before and also to check out the sights that I missed the last time I was in The Orkney's (Summer of '02).
Monday (21st) I have a day in Wick and the Old Pulteney distillery planned before catching the late train to Inverness for at least one day and one dinner at one of my favorite Scottish restaurant's, The Heathmount.
From the 24th (Thursday) through the 27th (Sunday) I'll be in Elgin (The Pines Guest House) for the Spirit Of Speyside Whisky Fall Festival before heading to Edinburgh Sunday for my last two days, I need at least one full day for The Royal Mile, Cadenhead's, great pubs and friends!

Remember Cadenheads are closed on Sundays outside the Mbru festival. Maybe get a pint with you?

I would figure Cadenheads to be closed any Sunday, Monday's my full day and I fly home Tuesday. After studying the Scottishrail timetables for Sunday It looks like I can be back in Edinburgh by mid-afternoon so I'd be glad to to have a pint or three with you Sunday evening!

I will be in Edinburgh 26-29th, and will undoubtedly be ensconced in the Bow Bar for at least a portion of each evening. Shall we all meet on the Sunday? Mr R Thomson (former poster here) will be with me then, leaving Monday.

Pardon me for being pedantic--it's what I do best--but you will not be in the Orkneys; you will be in Orkney. And yes, it's a wonderful, magical place--I'm already plotting my fifth trip there for next year.
