John Jamesons very special old whisky

Hello all,

I have been left a bottel of "John Jamesons Very special old whiskey, 15 years in a 26 2/3 Floz bottel that is 70 proof, by my Nan.
She did not have a lot and i think the bottel belonged to my grandad but he died in 1984.
i think the bottel is around the 1977 mark, i wounded if it had any value or not as the proceeds would be spent on a double head stone for them both.

These go at auction for between 80 euro and 150 euro. They come with a box a lot of the time. They are for sale retail for much more, though.

Your one looks to be in good condition.

You could try the Celtic Whiskey Shop, but I know they have some already. No harm trying. Also, bottles with Italian on the labels often don't go for as much.

By the way, there'll be a significant difference between what retail will buy for and what they will sell for, so I'm not sure how much, if any, there is to gain.

Aidan is fairly spot on with values. But just a word of caution the last bottle I saw sold only went for 72Euro a couple weeks ago and this happens quite a bit with Irish whiskey as there appear to be quite a few knocking around in the last 6 months.
