You know, I don't have a wish list any more. I no longer feel that there's anything that I just have to have..I just buy whatever looks interesting, that's in my price range at the time. There's plenty to keep me occupied.

I'm not sure if a "wishlist" is attainable but I'm realistic about what I might be able to buy so this is what's on my "list" anyways...
To buy :
Jameson 12yr - don't have a bottle yet and will have to wait for a trip to NI to get one. I really like this whiskey even though I've only tasted it twice.
Tyrconnell Single
Micheal Collins
Black Bush
Kilbeggan (wanna get a cheap bottle of this for everyday drinkin and mixin')
Greenspot
more Powers (can't get enough of that stuff so it's on my shopping list permanetly!).
To taste :
Busmills 16
Tyconnell cask finishes
Locke's 8yr
Tullamore Dew 12yr
Jameson 18
They're all Irish of course. There's a few Scottish ones I wanna try that I've not had yet (besides ALL of them!) such as Glenlivet and Laphroaig, but I'll wait till I go to Scotland. I'd like to try some more Bourbons or other American/Candian whiskeys so I'm keeping an eye out. A bar near me has a Buffalo Trace so I'll have drop of that soon enough. I don't think I've ever had any Canadian. Doubt I'll find the best representation and a good price around Dublin though...

I'm looking for an Ardbeg Almost There and maybe a Brora 6th release or a Bruichladdich 1970.

his can cover whiskies that you intend to buy soon, whiskies that you would buy if you happened to come into unexpected funds, and whiskies that you're not ever likely to buy given your financial situation. It should probably only include whiskies that you haven't bought before.

Am I allowed suggest a whiskey that doesn't exist? My personal dream whiskey?

I want to get in a time machine,travel back to about 1810 in Dublin and sit in Kehoe's Bar and sample the following;

Thomas Roe.
John Jameson
John Powers
William Jameson

I would give anything to know nwhat they tasted like back then and how they differed.

and just for fun, one of the adulterated whiskies that ired them so much that they wrote a book about it.

Replying to a slightly old comment I know, but any particular Karuizawa?

I'd like to get my hands on some Hanyu whiskies too, although, yeah, availability isn't one of its strong points. :-\

Wow is that all I wrote, I guess that is simplifying things somewhat.

Karuizawa Noh 1995
Karuizawa Vintage 1971
Karuizawa Rouge Cask SM 1995 Chateau Mercian Reserve

There isn't a problem getting Hanyu malts ,it's just if you want to pay the price for them.
You can though by Ichiro's Malt The Game in Japan for about Y7300 and Ichiro's Pure Malt Double Distilleries for around Y5300. The Later was a 2009 WWA award winner.

I should say that to me most cask strength Yamazaki's/Suntory's are the equal of any Hanyu and a lot better value. Strangely enough, just because it's won a few awards Yamazaki 18 is priced OTT in Japan, same with Hibiki.

Next on my wish/hit list when I return to Japan are,
Yoichi 15/20
Ichiro's Single Malt 20YO
Nikka Taketsura 21
The Yamazaki Single Malt aged 15 years
The aforementioned Ichiro's Double Distilleries
A couple of Owners Cask Suntory CS's
Shot Bar Zoetrope 3rd anniversary SM CS by Ichiro's

Lucky Man. My wife would not know a Glenfiddich from an Ardbeg. That is by choice too

I really like to get my hands on an Lord of the Isles. I've ordered one but it's only due to arrive at the shop in December. Let's hope the price hasn't changed because it's was real bargain.
