Whisky Choice- If you could time travel?

Having seen wolpertinger's thread, in Collector's Corner, it got me thinking along a similar line.

If you could travel back in time and sample any whisky as it came from the bottling plant , when and where would you go to, and what whisky would you be looking to try ?

I think i'd like to go back to the mid 1960's and see how the mid range Broras compare to the Clynelish of today.

I'd also take a wee trip to Ben Wyvis to answer that question in my head - are today's prices about the quality, or the paucity of quantity left?

What would you want to try?

I don't think anyone will tell you that Ben Wyvis is expensive because it is good.

Back to the early 20th century to try a triple distilled Talisker for me.
