Glenfiddich 15 YO, nice sherry-vanilla-spicy combination but this should be bottled unchillfiltered at 46%, hmmm?

Opened Glenlivet 12 and Glenfiddich 12. Glenlivet 12 is really quite good. Much better than previous bottlings. Glenfiddich 12 is very fruity with underlying malt.

1990 Filliers. It's a 19yo vintage jenever at 43% vol. that has matured in American oak casks. Bourbon if you ask me. It's pretty obvious. Very nice nose! Very much like whisky thanks to the casks. If you didn't know it's a jenever you'd think it's a whisky. Until you taste it that is. Then it becomes clear you're drinking a very strong jenever. Lovely stuff.

Caol Ila 1984 Samaroli, bottled in May 2007 at 45% vol. I've had older Caol Ila's before but this is a real stunner! It's smooth, typical Islay with an edge. I don't know what it is but there is something special about it.

Opened up the Glen Moray, Glenhaven. I was really surprised to find a screwcap under the foil.

Longrow CV

Was not really impressed after all the good reviews. I'll revisit it in a couple weeks once the bottle has a chance to breathe.
