I have a 12 year old Cragganmore which I am about to kill (only one dram left in it), as soon as I have shaken my head cold. It was pretty dull to be honest. I have read that the older Craggenmores were very good, but that they have become somewhat underwhelming in recent time. I won't be buying it again.
Just polished off my Highland Park 12yo. Was a very nice intro to a sweeter style, a thoroughly delicious dram. It is likely to be replaced by a Dalwhinnie 15yo, which I tasted off against the Highland Park recently, and I preferred the Dalwhinnie.
My Knappogue Castle 12 has bitten the dust. It is no more. The scribes have written its final words. Honestly I am using more words in this entire post than a typical review of this whisky. It was decent, but uninspiring.
The Pendleton Canadian Whisky from Oregon? Is no more. This is a bottle to pour into many half full bottles and let them air out for quite some time. Was horrible until these last few pours.
Quinta Ruban. Finished it off last night with some Brie and wheat crackers. When it was gone I still had snacks left, so I had to continue with some sub-par generic single malt.
