Just finished off a Talisker 10 and have emptied Tantalus No 1. :dead:

I'm now going to work steadfastly on Tantalus 2 which has a Jura, a Dalwhinnie and a Balvenie - mustn't grumble.

2 bottles hit the recycling bin this morning. A litre bottle of Maker's Mark that I picked up in New York. And a Sainsbury's Speyside. Sad to see them both go actually.

Old Pulteney 17. Quite good, but, as with many older expressions, it just isn't sufficiently better than the 12 to justify the price premium. Plus it's been de-listed in the state stores so I wouldn't be able to procure it locally in the future.

I'd be interested in trying an older expression some day when the opportunity arises.

Four Roses Single Barrel. I like the rye here, but it's a bit floral for my taste. I could probably buy another bottle some day - but not soon.
