McCarthy's 3 Year Old Oregon Single Malt... A most worthy spirit that is now the stuff of memories, excepting a 50ml 'library' sample retained for future reference.

Ardbeg Uigeadail (L10). Celebrated my brother's wedding on Saturday. Five of us killed it in one sitting. This is a gem whisky and I will go back to grab another bottle tomorrow for the drinking stock. Still, H2H I would give the Corry a slight nod over this new Oogie. Just a slightly better balance and harmony of tastes.

We executed about 7 or 8 that were sitting at the 1 finger level. Glenforres 8, an a'bunadh, Connemara peated, JMR rich and spicy, Deanston 17 are the ones that come to mind.

Bunnahabhain 12. A great hot-weather dram. Will definitely buy again, but for now I need the shelf space.

What great whiskies this and the 1980 edityion (bottled in 2000) were!

Tonight, for me, another empty bottle of Ardbeg 10 Year Old goes into the recycling bag.
