And the last of the Black Bull NAS is poured. "And another one's gone."

Cardhu 12. Not bad, but nothing special. Nice bottle. Probably wouldn't buy another.

Jameson 18 Year Old Limited Reserve... A repeat purchase is almost certainly in order.

Caol Ila 12 Unpeated, 2010. A big disappointment. Nose and initial palate are spectacular, but raw carrots in the finish just kills it for me. A damn shame since last year's 10y is one of my all-time favorites.

Jameson 18. Doubt I'll ever buy another of these. Anyone looking for "smooth" would love it - nearly like juice. Very expensive juice.

McClelland's Highland. While it can be quite astringent and oaky, it isn't as bad as a session dram. That is, have three or four of them and it tends to mellow.

Don't they all. Handy really.

Just polished of the Secret Stills 4.9 (Bowmore) 1991/2008 45%. Fine stuff. Rare i say that about a Bowey.

Glenfarclas 12. Better than the one replacing it. Will be missed, but will probably always have one on hand.

Generally my favourite Gin too, but if you're willing to try something completely different and really good as well, check out Martin Miller's (or the Martin Miller's Westbourn strength if you can find it!). It's much "lighter" and way, way more floral than the Hendricks, but I like it as much for a very different kind of taste and sometimes it fits my mood better than the Hendricks

Cheers!

An Oban 14 that had been languishing too long the back of the cupboard. The new one is actually quite a bit nicer - which I wouldn't have expected.

Bruichladdich First Born for K&L. Really didn't like this one at first. However, the Zin dissapated leaving a slightly briney, big peated young whisky.

The very first release of that was very good. However, subsequent bottles range from mediocre down to plain bad. I haven't been a big fan of the Darkest 15 either.
