What's your latest bottle kill?

I unfortunately knocked off the shelf a Caol Ila Unpeated 2006 59.8%. I did a proper job and the bottom of the bottle broke and within seconds I lost the whole lot. It's a bottle kill that I will not remember other than with regret.

It's fortunately still available at TWE. I can feel a purchase coming on.

Is that the 8yo, Les? I've been looking at that. I'd have to get it from Germany but over there it's priced the same as the regular 12yo here. I'm still hesitant as it is so much younger than the 12 and would not be a very good copmarison.

Yes it is. they release an amount each year. It's delicious very different to the 12 and worth getting on it's own merit. Don't forget it's at cask strength. The bottle I broke was from the first batch.

Anyway it's this one. All the other releases are still available and now it's released as a Ten.

That's the same as the one I've been looking at. Saw the 10yo too, but that's another 11 EUR. When you say it's worth getting on it's own merit I believe I'll get one when putting in my next order.
