Well, the Bow 17 was killed within 5 minutes of the start of tonights event. Bang!

Then the curlers came through and we had a replacement 18! Of course we popped it in celebration and with several others in on the victory celebration we naturally killed the bottle! Ok, at the event we also killed the Bowmore Tempest 10, Couple other bottles of 18, the Glen Garioch FR.

That is a tasty bottle. Should get another one in the future.

Killed the Glen Garioch 8, 1987. And there was much rejoicing!

Why does the first of the month seem to put a killing mood in everyone? There goes the Balvenie DW.

Black Maple Hill bourbon. This one just had some elements I really didn't care for.

Good ol' Laphroaig 10 yo @ 43%. Have been drinking all sorts of other stuff but was recently reacquainted with this wonderful bottle after I found it hiding in the back of the cupboard. The rest of it didn't last long!

I picked one of these up in Taiwan earlier this year - i haven't cracked it yet, but I've heard that it's a tasty treat! Please tell me what I'm missing :) (must not open MORE bottles!!!).

My first bottle of Kirkland Signature Bourbon is done, but I picked up a replacement this past weekend, so not a total loss.

The weather is cooler with more rain which of course means it's getting back to serious whisky time. I know some will say that it's always the right time. However, I find my drinking slowing down a lot in the summer but picking back up in the fall.

Last night's kill was a bottle of Laga 12yo, 2009 edition. I've been a big fan of this since the early 2000's and am always sure to have a few in reserve!

The Balvenie 14 Caribbean Cask. Decent, but a bit youthful and seriously lacking in the rum influence. Might be persuaded to buy again some day, but not soon.

Glenfiddich 15yo Distillery Edition is now dead. It is a bottle purging night. Does that mean that I need to buy more bottles this week?
