Oh dear, there just went Chivas Regal 12.... They are dropping like flies tonight.

Me thinks you either got a god-awful bottle, you don't like sherry or things have severely changed since the first batches of the new 50/50 vattings.

I am going with god-awful bottle. But I have had someone comment that they agreed with my notes. I do really enjoy Sherry influence in whisky, but the Dalmore just tasted dirty, with molding and rotting oranges. Very little of the nut or spice flavors often found in sherry bottles, and the only fruit was that rancid orange.

Connemara. Good, but unusual. I might try one of the other expressions some day, but probably not this one.

Amrut Fusion. I really loved this on opening day, then it settled into mediocrity for a while, but these last few drams have risen back up to the occasion. A tasty one for sure. Probably would buy another if I came across one.

Woodford Reserve Master's Collection Aged Cask Rye. Quite nice on the nose, but a bit of a letdown otherwise. Woody, but otherwise too muted.

Funny I feel the same way about the Woodford Reserve Distillers Select Bourbon.

Johnnie Walker Swing. Hasn't aged too well in the bottle, but still probably the best JW short of Blue. I'd buy another bottle maybe if I came across one in person, but I don't expect to special order again. Too pricey.

Bunnahabhain 12 46.3%. Good enough, but I wish they'd kept the old style with the NCF and higher ABV. Probably won't buy another.
