Well it looks like it maybe closed as my post is not on it
Just an FYI ... no for sale threads are allowed any more so that may be the reason.
Anyway I got both bottles safe and sound and thanks for all your help. Very good of you to keep in touch and make sure that I got them.
here are my thoughts on it not that I'm an expert or anything.
Macallan 20yo 55.4% (Private Bottling)
Nose: Initial blash of clean malt then lightly singed wood & plasticine. Then comes the fruit ... banana and lovely sweet peach syurp, With a touch of felt tipped marker. Becomes more floral & perfumed with water.
Taste: Quite fruity, rich & slightly viscous soft fruit like ripe peach & apricot. A bit of tongue prickle to off set the fruitiness.
Finish: The sweetness continues a while then turns to Sweet & sour before becoming quite dry for a lovely contrast.
Definitely not a Macallan most are used to as this a bourbon barrel, the sherry influence is missing which to me is no harm. You can see where the fine oak series is coming from here but this is a wilder version of Macallan beauty.
