Last Saturday's Ardbeg event was a big hit!
Quite a few folks turned out just to see the bikes.
Our liquor store is inside the grocery store and it was very surreal to see The Beist chopper rolling down the aisle past the ice cream and frozen pastries.
The bike is an absolute eye catcher! I really like the matte finish paint and wrapped exhaust.
Since we had limited room, The Spirit of Islay bike did not come out of the trailer, but Mark did let a few of us take a look at it.
What a nice guy! While out there, he even shared a splash of The Rollercoaster with a couple of us too!
Ohio is a rather difficult state to deal with for liquor and it is very hard and sometimes impossible to get your hands on a whisky you want.
Thanks to Mark coming through with the choppers, the state finally saw fit to "allow" a case of the Corryvreckan and Supernova into my store.
(pre-event we were denied without the entire case being pre-sold)
I for one owe Ardbeg and the Ardbeg Chopper tour a great big thanks.
Without them, I would not have a bottle of the Corryvreckan on my shelf right now.
Caol Ila is my all time fave Islay, but this Corryvreckan may convert me back to Ardbeg?
I really like the way your first drink hits you with a
BIG sod of peat and fires through your nose like a hit of wasabi!
Then the second drink is very different. And again for the third.
Really complex and every ounce is a long and rewarding experience.
So thanks to Ardbeg, Glazer Distributors, and all involved once again for coming to our little spot.
If you can, get busy on the e-mail machines and pull out all the aces...whatever it takes.
This little traveling circus was great time and I hope to catch it again.
Cheers!
