I've been a fan of Edradour for many years now, evers since I sampled some of their wares on a visit to the distillery. I'm relatively knew to the world of Whisky, but have living in Scotland for a few years helped me try more than a few different Scottish Whisky. I recently came across a bottle that I instantly recognized as an Edradour bottle, but was confused by the name. I was able to keep the bottle, but can find very little that explains where it came from.
The bottle is labelled Kings Ransom, and is a brown earthenware jug. It's different than most of the clear bottles I've come across. Can anyone tell me a bit of Kings Ransom history? What to expect if/when we open the bottle to try the whisky? How old it might be? What the bottle might be worth?
I anticipate it won't be worth too much, about the same as a good bottle of whisky, but what will it taste like! Picture of bottle below.
Thanks!
I would anticipate
