My friends down at Campbeltown mentioned there are spaces left in the next two classes at the school. The dates are: 28/11/10, 5/12/10. For further details e-mail whiskyschool@springbankwhisky.com. Essentially you work and study at the distillery Monday to Friday. Topics cover barley, malting, mashing/distilling, filling/warehousing and bottling. Costs include 5 nights in a guest house and all meals. Frank McHardy his the headmaster, with 48 years in the game he's pretty much a proffessor of the pot still. Quite fancy it myself.
