Ardbeg minutes arrived today another fun read with the new old super models on the front page .

Committe is 10 years old, The Ten looks like it will have a release of its own.

Thought that is was strange as I thought Mor was the ten in a bigger version.

I arrived home Xmas Eve to find the minutes on the side waiting so not sure when they did arrive.

Hope all the US members are entering the win the bike, i'd never be allowed on one, but imagine having that in your front room next to the whisky, although if I had that the better half would probably want a horse living in the front room.

Won't there be another bottle to the Ten, i'm sure I read something is 'stirring in the depths', which suggests an interesting bottling. Only problem is i can't find that bit now.

ah, I see.....as long as it's of a sufficient age to stand up by itself, is at cask strength, isn't finished in anything obscure, hasn't got seaweed floating in it, and is selling for under £60, I'll be happy. But, these days, who knows: if the LVMH PR folk can't be arsed to make sure the Chief Article gets a heads up before the general mail shot, what hope is there that they'll playing to the crowd that actually drink their whisky rather than dumping it on ebay before it arrives in the post?

Aye, that's me! Only about the marketing and the ancillary guff though, never about the actual whisky. I've never had a less than great distillery bottled Ardbeg, and I don't think they'll be turning one out anytime soon either. My problem is the recent price hikes and the feeling that the values that LVHM expound are not values I am prepared to pay for. I'm really looking forward to seeing what emerges from 'the deep', or the dunage, nevertheless.

It's amazing how for all the calling of LVMH about the price hikes to Ardbeg the merest hint of a Committee bottling and everyone goes into a state of frenzy !

Wonder how they are going to distribute it now in Europe seeing the shop won't ship out of the UK now because of the EEC tax laws ? Surprised no one's mentioned it on this forum......or have i not noticed it ?

US members didn't need UK friends for the last committee bottling (Rollercoaster). It was distributed in the US too.

You definitely made it in time as there has been no announcement yet. The US distribution of the Rollercoaster seemed to take a wee while after it was released here in any case.
