Bad Mixes

Postby JJR24 » Mon Jan 10, 2011 2:26 am

Ok, now I know that we all agree that SM whisky is not to be mixed with anything but a small dose of water. But, I also know that most people here seem to be pretty adventurous in their drinking. The other night I tried a little experiment and mixed a small amount of Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA with a dram of Ardbeg Corryvreckan. Needless to say, this was not a good idea. :yuk: I think I've learned my lesson and will be staying neat to a few drops of water with any dram.

Anyone else try any interesting mixes? Good or bad results obtained...

JJR24, here is a thread about mixing whiskies

Also some of us here will occasionally mix whisky with port, sherry, wine, rum, etc.

Nothing wrong with a little experimentation.
