Visited my friend in the OC last night. Had some nice beers.

Rogue Hazelnut Brown - this is purely a drinker. It doesn't do anything to make you stop drinking it - in a good way (thinking about what is there) or a bad way (YUCK!).
Hangar 24 Hullaballoo - this was nice. Loads of herbs. This made me stop and say hey, what's that?
Golden Draak 9000 Belgain - I really liked this one. Very good example of a quad.
Allagash Saison - This was very good. Also a very nice followup to the Draak.

Glenfiddich Cask of Dreams (2012 Canadian edition)... A slightly atypical yet absolutely delicious expression.

Sheep Dip direct from Scotland and a bit of Rosslyn Chapel Whisky (Tullibardine) that a buddy brought back this week. I then finished up the evening with a dram of Aged Oak Tullibardine.

It must be the oak as I drank very moderately, but woke up with a wee headache, easily brought to heel by a couple of Advil. I had the same reaction to French Limosin Oak a number of years ago.

Could it be lack of practice? I'd also suggest you didn't quite get enough water but you may be right about the oak.

Water? There's enough water put in at the distillery to thin it out to 40% !

Actually I drank several tumblers of water over the course of the evening as well as a "mithers tear" after the initial sample to open up the whisky a bit. It's either the oak or a lack of practice. I'd best figure that out within the year, eh?

Last night I visited with some friends and it was a bunch of pleasant drams shared amongst us including some of the better Ardbeg (OMC 1975, 25), Springer (Local Barley), and Glenfarclas (1971 and Binny's 22 yo). Company still outshone the whisky.

I think all liquor, whether it is alcohol, bottles of wine, or liquor, is known to help reduce heart disease. According to a 2008 article in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, moderate consumption of liquor makes blood vessels less sticky, and so it is less likely to clot. Alcohol can also increase good cholesterol and reduced the bad, as well as reduced your hypertension. A Harvard study of 70,000 women found that those who absorbed alcohol had a reduced hypertension than those who absorbed bottles of wine or hard liquor. You can check any custom essay writing service to know more about this type topics
