I tried the Amrut Intermediate Sherry, and I was pleasantly surprised with how much flavor it was packed with. First experience with an Indian whiskey!
Quite different to my first experience of Indian whisky, which was more like a cross between mouthwash and petrol, it was in India and i forget the name, Red 'something'. Anyway, you will find the Amrut a consistent and well made malt whisky. They make it to similar guidelines as Scotch -- which is rare in India where one can make whisky from molasses or whatever one may find.
There may be more on the way but Amrut and Paul John are the two Indian distilleries making proper and correct whisky. Both very good indeed.
