The Cask of Yamazaki 1990 Spanish Oak Sherry Butt 17YO 59%
I've been waiting to pick up another bottle of this at a reasonable price for a couple of years.
Just paid Euro143, currently a bottle on whiskyauction with 15 bids against for Euro255 with a week to go.
Very very happy :D One I'm stashing away :iwbrnt:

My girlfriend's dad bought me the Ardmore traditional cask, Glenlivet Nadurra, and a Dalmore 15 year... That Ardmore is apparently a popular gift item.

Well they were only released yesterday G. Pre ordered from a contact in Tokyo. Should have them by next week. Only 4000 bottles and the ones allocated for Japan mostly sold out before hitting the shelves. This is the first bottling of it's type from Hakushu. There has been 2 previous releases of Single Cask cask strength sherried Hakushus and some Vintage casks and long aged(25+). Those however cost a hell of lot more.

I found one of these going cheap. It was a dusty wine shop and he was glad to get rid.

Ardbeg 10
Glen Moray Classic

Hopefully tomorrow I'll find Hibiki 12... apparently it's playing hard to get in Central Illinois. If not I'll settle for a Laddie and/or OP 12.

still can't pull the trigger on the RedBreast

I really enjoyed this when I had an opportunity to try it. The price is reasonable for for something of this age and quality, but it wasn't for my personal tastes at 170 a bottle.
