It's been building up in the shop for a while, because I haven't been getting in as often as I'd like. I shouldn't really be buying more whisky, but these were too good to miss. I'm mightily jealous of all the Yamazaki you've been buying. I really should get more Japanese stock. The only thing I bought this year was a Hakushu 18yo and my brother-in-law gave me a 15yo Suntory Royal which was delicious.
I'd jump through flaming hoops for that Convalmore.
You've tried it then
. Luckily it is my reserve second bottle as the first is nearly finished. I think I'll keep that one for a while. The sad news is that I think that is the last of the Cadenhead's 1977 Convalmore as I heard that Mark Watt vatted the last of the casks for this bottling. I hope that's wrong, but suspect it is true. Did you ever try the 30yo they did a few years ago? It was incredible too.
