I mixed together some Talisker 10 and Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban. Not bad but a little disappointing. I was hoping the Glenmo would keep the mix light, but it turned out rather... heavy.
Currently having Deanston VO with a fair amount of water. Originally very malty. Water however seems to make it smoked canadian bacon. Very intersesting.
Hirsch 3 Canadian Rye. Caramel, vanilla, gentle rye, and peppery spice on the nose. Very mild with fruit (banana?) and fresh rye. Finishes spicy and hot with a touch of wood. Pretty simple, lightly flavored, nothing special but certainly not offensive. 2.5/5
