Initial impression is that the Ellie's is not nearly as good as the Moose Drool. There is a little more bitterness and definitely not as rich.

Dry Fly Washington Wheat Whiskey. Corn (strangely) syrup candy and apple cider on the nose. Sweet, but spirity. Stewed apples and shredded wheat on the tongue - very, very sweet and syrupy. Finishes on that corn syrup note again, which is unexpected and there's a whisper of artificial apple flavor. Bizarre and not especially pleasant. 2/5

Hangar 24 Polycot. A Heffe brewed with fresh apricots. Really just tastes like a heffe with a touch of fruit sweetness.

had a good Sangiovese with dinner and this most excellent beer after...

--> Boulevard - Rye on Rye (rye whiskey barrel aged) 2012 - 11%

This was a serious brew that put this brewery on the map for me..
