some notes on the Mac ...
A nice lighter amber color
in the glass. Taking an initial nosing
, I am getting a combo of oranges and cinnamon spice along with a touch of rosin, there is a bit of vanilla and wood pulp. On first nip, the palate
is slightly oily and warm, the wood influence comes to the forefront. Flower petals and salt is there reminding me in some ways of very aged (5+years) Dutch Gouda. As it goes down, the finish
is medium long 3-4 minutes, with the spice and light oranges lingering around for a while. Overall a nice beverage, little more than half a bottle finished, I like it better after a year+ than when first opened. Will be interesting to try at the end of the year or so.
