help with identifying a stolen bottle

Postby kevwaters » Fri Jun 20, 2014 4:09 pm

Hi, I would like some expert assistance.

I recently had my house broken into in Australia and a bottle of Glenfiddich Age of Discovery (blue box, 19 years) was stolen along with a large amount of electronic items. The thing is the police found my bottle but they cant prove that it is mine. The police told me the person they got it from told them that it was a present from October 2013 and it the police cant prove otherwise they cant charge her. Since I only brought the bottle recently I thought it might of recently been bottle after, October 2014. My question is how do the codes engraved on the bottle work and does anyone have a document that I can show the police so they can prove when it was bottled?

I have attached the photo of the code, excuse the fingerprint dust.

The code is. L34W4319140311:19:24
