This is mainly adressed to Admiral, but I dont know if there are more Australians here.

Ian told me he will be attending New Zealand and Australia as of next week for 17 days. I figured to drop you and other Australians a note here in case you want to attend one of his tastings. It is really worth it to do so, Ian is a very forthcoming person and is always willing to share his own knowledge with everyone that asks. Other then that there's offcourse the splendid malt he helps create.
I am not sure where exactly he will be going, but I asked him and am awaiting his reply.I let you know when i know.

Admiral was so kind to draw our attention towards Australia's 2nd Malt Whisky Convention from August 19th to 21st in Sydney. Ian McWilliam will host a tutored Masterclass "Glenfarclas - The Spirit of Independence" at that convention. Looking at the featured whiskies I wish I could arrange a trip right into the Australian winter...
