Not a single malt, but there was a bottle of Ballentine's in the 2003 movie Swimming poll.

'Dirk Gently' - right at the back of the set but pretty sure they were pouring from a bottle of Glenfiddich 12 Year Old.

40 Days and 40 Nights featured Glenlivet 12 on the counter although no one actually had any to drink.

In the NCIS (many other episodes have whisk(e)y in them and I will post them up as I find them) episode Conspiracy Theory, Fornell is drinking Macallan 18 while Gibbs is drinking some bourbon.

In Kill Bill 1 during the manga scene where o-ren ishii parents are killed, one of the yakuza shoots a bottle of Hakushu Pure Malt 10 then ignites the contents with a cigar to burn the apartment down.
Back in the day, Suntory used the term pure malt for both their Yamazaki 10 and 12 and Hakushu 10 and 12

In last week's episode of House, in the closing scene, House is enjoying what looks to be one of the Diageo malts. It's unclear which, but given the smoked glass bottle, I'd say probably Caol Ila - possibly Lagavulin.

Harrison Ford pulls put a bottle and delivers the best line of the film:

"This is a bottle of 40-year-old Bruichladdich. I only drink this when I'm feeling suicidal!"

Enjoyable film, but I'm guessing the whisky was more enjoyable!

Just watched 'Edison' with Justin Timberlake. Morgan Freeman poured himself a Balvenie. I couldn't see which edition thoug. Now I'm watching 'Oxygen' and there it's Cutty Sark that a police inspector is drinking.

While watching School Ties, Matt Damon orders a scotch and soda and one of the alumni says, no Dewars and soda, like it's the pinnacle of the whisky drinking experience.

Hm, I couldn't tell but Fairly Legal featured "a great scotch". Bottle shape would indicate Springbank/Longrow or Balvenie. Label was somewhat indistinct and creamy colored so if it was Springbank it was one of the single cask bottlings.

Don't know if anyone else has noted this but Glenlivet 12 is poured in Arthur. I've tried Glenlivet from this time frame and it is very different from today.

Veronica Mars presents the Loch Nevin Single Highland Whisky. I don't see anything that indicates Scotch or Malt in the picture.

OK, not a film but...

The West Wing has a few whisky references.

When Leo (John Spencer) was labour secretary he had a thing for JW Blue.

During the election campaign in series 7, the Santos staff are all in a bar and they have a bottle of Glenlivet (12yo I think).

Toby and Lord John Marbury shuffle away from the White House to find a Lagavulin, described, to my great annoyance, as an Is-Lay malt!

Tom Selleck made a series of movies as Jesse Stone, a policeman working in a small town called Paradise. He buys a bottle of JW Red, perhaps everyday and brings it home in a brown paper bag. He lives by himeself with a quiet dog. Must really be paradise!

"Old ___" scotch whisky in Hawaii 5-0 Season 2. Not sure exactly what it was but that is what I could make out.

Also, The Birdcage features Glenlivet 12.

Watching Seasons 3 of Hawaii-5-0 and the character was drinking Golden Delight Bourbon Whiskey. I know not single malt, not even blended scotch. But it is a real curiousity. Anyone know anything about it?
